Today we had class and after our break our teacher walked back in with bags. YES! Chocolate tasting! We tried 5 different kinds: dark, milk, white, dark almond, and milk almond. I was loving it. Ashley kept giving me hers too because it was too sweet (is that possible?) for her. If there was extra, Conso would just come over and give me more--guess I made my sweet tooth pretty clear. I absolutely loved the white chocolate one too, so she had like a half a bar left over and told me it was a gift. :) It's so clear though that we do not eat sweets here on a regular basis because after just that we all felt a bit heavier settling in our stomachs. After, we printed our important documents for Rome. And then sure enough, time to go home for lunch. We had great green soup, croquetas, and fried ham and cheese! Then I quickly got to skype my mom and say bye before I leave and then I got to talk with Maggie--which has been far too long. It was wonderful because we had so many exciting things to catch up on. I rested for a little bit and then went and found something for my dad :) and then met Alice. We went shopping for a little and she found 2 dresses she loved. We wanted to look at Flamenco dresses too but just ran out of time. Then I went out to Traiana to meet Tiffany to go to a Bible Study. The pastor and people were so nice and came up and talked with us. It was at a tiny little Protestant Church and I cannot express how much I loved it. It was actually a little more like a service: we gathered, we sang, we prayed, the pastor read from the Word, and we talked about it. The songs were great and I knew what they met. We even sang "This is My Desire" so that was cool to sing in Spanish!
Then people shared prayer requests and we prayed. Although I didn't understand everything, I understood a lot of it and it obviously helps to know the passage beforehand. He talked about the passage in James where he talks about taming the tongue, something I continually need to work at because it really can do much harm. Just the whole experience was incredible. I had not even known quite how much I missed that and my fellowship until my eyes started welling up multiple times at just the joy and fullness I felt.
Afterwards, I ran into a cool 2 euro store that I definitely want to go back to. Then I went to go meet Nicolette and Linette for a salsa class. They were running late, so I just headed there, but unfortunately the place was locked. I waited for about a half hour just in case but no one showed, which was a bummer. Hopefully next week (on my bucket list too!) I did meet a guy from Sweden though who was waiting too. He's studying here too, so I passed a few minutes with him and then got to work on something Maggie and I are doing. I just headed home then, saw that the restaurant had temporarily moved locations. Then I got to listen to a sermon and get myself packed for tomorrow. I wanted an early night, so I got to sleep around 1:30. Roma in the morning!!!
