wanted me to listen to her Spanish music throughout, so we were jamming to "La la la lengua" and "Como tú no hay dos." Then I just about completely wiped out on the slippery rocks, and then looked like a deer in the headlights when they randomly took a picture of all of us one by one. As we walked down the steps, this lady just pointed to the side and as I looked they just snapped a picture. After the tour, we all saw our pictures, and I think that may be one of the funniest I have ever seen of myself: so candid. After the caves, we finally headed to the beach!!! It reminded me a lot of Portugal because there were really big rocks here as well and the water was so clear!
The sand was a lot darker though, so that was the only thing that made it not quite as pretty, but it was still one of the prettier beaches we have visited. I also really loved it because Alice, Nicollete, Tiffany, and I went exploring through the rocks and got to see some of the different sea creatures. We saw sea urchins, anemones, these red jelly things attached to the rocks, and fish. One of the scarier, yet really cool things was that we were literally swimming with jellyfish. I was inches away from them! These were not jellyfish like the states either, that are just like clear and jelly. These had the red insides and could clearly see the tentacles. It was good that the water was
cleat though so we could see them or I am pretty
sure we would have been stung. We swam around for a little and then got out and laid out and read and just enjoyed the beautiful day: it was great, not TOO hot but warm enough to want to get in the water! Afterwards, we headed back to the bus to sleep!!!! Just can't seem to get caught up on sleep here! When we got back, I got some things done, then when the boys got back, we got ready to go. Benni claimed he couldn't go cause he was too tired (lame) but Zouhir and I still wanted to go.
First we went to the theater and bought our tickets for the movie. We originally had wanted to go see an actual Spanish movie, but the only one they offered had an inappropriate cover, and I just didn't feel right about it, so we decided to go see a French movie dubbed in Spanish. After we go the tickets we went around the corner to try kebab! It ended up being a Moroccan restaurant and one of the waitresses was actually from Zouhir's hometown! The meal was absolutely delicious. It was basically a wrap with like the boast roasted chicken, lettuce, tomato, and this sauce that they call yogurt but isn't what we think. We also got some pita and hummus and Moroccan tea. I felt so cultural and spoiled! Then we headed over to our movie and it was about a girl who's husband died, and she's trying to put her life back together and she meets this other awkward guy. Zouhir had to translate a lot for me, but it was cool to see and a cute movie. After, he wanted to go back the same way we came because on the way there we saw this man squatted down with a little puddle around him. I was like there's no way he's doing what I think...but then I couldn't figure out why he was squatting, and Zouhir was like, "Well what do you think; why would he need to squat..." EW. I said there was no way he was actually doing that on a main street, so Zouhir wanted to go back to see, and sure enough he was right. DISGUSTING. I don't know who ever thinks that is okay. Well we finally made our way back and then got ready for bed. Ah, such a good day, experiencing so many things!
