Day 53-Málaga y nueva comida

Today I got up to watch the run with the bulls!!!!  My señora was so into it, which was funny to see, just cheering along as people ran and got knocked down.  Then I left to go catch the bus for Málaga. We had about a 3 hour drive, so I tried to sleep some and do a little work.  When we arrived, we headed to the Alcazaba, which was a military strategy fortress.  It was pretty and had some nice views, but after we have seen things like the Alcazar, it is hard to compare.  Then we went to a Cathedral, which was gorgeous as well but also hard to compare to once we've seen La Sagrada Familia.  We walked around for a few minutes and then headed back to the bus to eat our bocadillos (we were starving!) and then go to the hotel.  Once again, our hotel was beautiful!  After stocking up on these great little candies, Olivia, Alice, and I headed to our room.  We spent awhile just talking, which was so nice.  We got to ask Alice
a lot about China and what it was like moving to the United States.  She only came when she was 17 and hardly knew English.  She said she was so shy, didn't really talk or want to be around people, and was bored a lot.  Everything she was telling us just gave us even more respect for her and opened our eyes.  Now she's trying to learn Spanish too!!!  We tried to get her to tell us some Chinese, but she was embarrassed!  Then we all took a little siesta and then Alice and I met some people for an optional tour of the Picasso museum.  It was a cool museum because it had a lot of his work--not much of his really famous stuff, but we still got to see authentic Picasso work!  (He was born in Málaga.)  It's crazy to me though because some of his work just does not even look like art to me--it just looks like a few brush strokes and dots here and there but I'm thinking that's just a sign of not fully understanding art.  I still loved seeing it.  Then we looked in a few stores, got slightly lost, and finally made it back to the hotel.  We had a little bit of time, so I read for a little and then we met up to walk back into town for dinner.  We all had different opinions on where to go, so we split, and Olivia and I decided to go to a little tapas restaurant.
First I tried Priagato, which was so good.  It was a little sandwich of pork, chorizo, and covered in a black pudding.  It was so good!  Olivia tried a cold nut and melon soup that I thought was good but she didn't like too much.  Then we decided to split croquetas and I finally got to try the spinach kind.  They were really good, but I knew I could not leave without trying something special.  So I finally braved up and tried a bull's tail croqueta.  It actually tasted really good!  The textures kind of grossed me out because it was a lot more stringy than usual, but I just could not think about it.  I cannot believe
all that I am trying!!  Then all of us met back up to go get some gelato!  This time I tried mint and ferrero rocher, which was fantastic!  We hung out for a little, checked out the town a little more, and then headed a home a little earlier tonight.  The kept making fun of me for acting so crazy, but I think they're just seeing me, and how I can just act completely ridiculous.  We were making Alice laugh so hard too because she kept complaining that she is gaining so much weight, but she is one of the tiniest people I have ever seen.  So we all started picking her up and she was just laughing so much!  She is too adorable.  Then we headed back and just chilled for the rest of the night!  :)
