Today we had class and then I went home to enjoy lunch with my Swiss boys. I got to talk with them and get to know them a little better. Zouhir, the one who introduced himself last night, is rather friendly. Benny is very nice too, but he does not think his English is that good, so he is a little quieter. It was a lot of fun talking with them because I got to learn about Switzerland, and Zouhir speaks SIX languages! Nothing like making you feel like an ignorant American. He knows Spanish, English, German, French, Swiss German, and Moroccan. He's pretty much fluent in all of them. He can easily hold a conversation with my señora, and I think she loves that. After lunch, I caught up on some blogs and pictures and then finally decided it was time to SHOP!!!!! Rebajas is here and I am taking advantage of it! I had a few hours before dinner, so I went to Zara, H&M, Calzedonia, Stradivarius, and any I just happened to stroll into. It was crazy though because there were people everywhere, the lines were long, and the Spanish people just do not care if you are standing somewhere--if they need to go there, they will get you out of the way/with no "excuse me." There's one thing I miss about the States; I mean it's not that hard to apologize for hitting someone, or move out of the way for someone else...but anywayyy I still enjoyed my time and made and bought a scarf and skirt, but there will be much more instore! Then I went home and had some burgers with the boys, quickly showered and headed out for the night. Zouhir came with me to meet Olivia, Lauren, and Teagie to go up onto the roof of the Doña Maria hotel. It was something our program had reccommended,
and I am so glad we did it. We split cava, which was so good, and they all made fun of me trying to pop the cork (because I'd never done one, and it was incredibly difficult). We had a beautiful view of the Cathedral and city, and just talked for a long time. I got to learn more about Zouhir and his life,
which is just so so interesting. Plus, he is just like the sweetest; he claimed he had to go ask a question, and as we went to leave, he said he had already paid for everyone. Then we met Benny to walk home, and they decided to stop for ice cream and he bought us all. He got me strawberry and mango, which is not something I would have chosen, but it was delicious! We had a great time walking back, laughing, talking about movies and just other cultural things, and then I "tried" to do some work and went to bed!
