Today was the big exam day! I got up early, watched the run with the bulls with my señora and Zouhir. Then I studied and tried to prepare my essays a little more and then headed to class! All the questions we studied were on the test, so I actually had a hard time deciding which to answer. I ended up just doing 5 and then crossing off the one that sounded worst at the end. I am curious to see how I did because I think I remembered everything I studied, but I don't know if that's even what she wanted. We had a little break and then had more class, which once again was pretty useless for me. After taht, I had tutoring which was good again, except Cynthia was so confused about how to explain indirect and direct usage, but by the end I was getting the hang of it. Then I went home for lunch with the boys and spent a while talking with them. We asked our señora to take a picture with us, but she said it had to wait til tomorrow cause her pajamas were too see through and she needed to look nicer (even though that's pretty much her everyday look...) After lunch I took a brief siesta and luckily woke up (because my alarm failed to) in time for the Bellas Artes Museum tour. It used to be a convent and there was a lot of religious art. There was a painting of Joseph and Potipher's wife that I thought was really neat too.
So much of the work was so realistic. It really could have passed as real people or a photograph. To me, it was a more skilled style of art than Picasso. He was probably just much more creative and out of the box and obviously extremely talented too.
After the museum, I went to try to look for some souvenirs for my family. I didn't have much luck but I'm at least getting some ideas--feeling that pressure though as time is wearing thin. Then I headed home for dinner. Then I got to spend a while catching up with my sis--wonderful as always. Then Zouhir came in and we spent a couple hours just talking. He was just really surprised by a lot of things that I've told him I've chosen not to do. He kept asking questions, so I could tell it was something he was really thinking about. He finally said he really admired me, but was not sure if he could do it. I tried to encourage him in it though. He's wonderful and I've just been so blessed to have both of them stay wit us. We were both so tired though and finally got some sleep around 3.
