Day 49-¡TAPAS!

Today was another typical morning of breakfast and class.  I also picked up some tickets to be able to go to the theater.  I got them free from my program, so I will be able to cross that off my bucket list as well!  I tried to participate some in class too cause this teacher has made that seem like a big deal, and since I am missing a day for my free weekend, I feel like I really need to make the most of it.  Then I met my with my new tutor, Cynthia.  She was such a huge help!  We went over subjunctive and where to put accents in words, and she actually took time to stop and explain and give me examples.  I actually felt like I was learning it and not just running threw examples.  Then I went home for some brown bean soup and then tried to catch up on some work.  Then I got to skype with Andrew and have some good catch up, and then I finally got to talk with Miss Heather Schmitt.  It was so wonderful because I have not seen her since school ended, so it was great to see what she has been up to.  Then of course I had to go shopping again!  Today was much more of a success.  I went into some stores that I guess weren't as popular and got a couple of the things I had been looking for.  I knew once I got started, this would happen; it's a good thing I've waited this long!  Then I met up with Elise and Megan to meet Manu for dinner.  He said he wanted to take us to his favorite tapas restaurant in Sevilla, and it was so delicious!  We just let him order and they just kept bringing us stuff.  First we had some white wine and then cold salmon and mango, which was interesting.  Then we had this chicken salad, which was surprisingly really really good!  Next they brought out plums, cheese, and spinach mixed together, which was amazing!  Then we had these cute little burgers and fries.  Our burgers had caramelized onions, and he told me just to try it.  I HATE onions, but I tried it, and once again, I did like it!  Then finally they brought out a piece of chocolate cake for all of us to share.  Finally, we got to have some legit cake, and it was great!  Then all of a sudden the waitress brings out shots.  Oh gosh, I had the honey one he bought me, which was different from theirs because he knows that I do not really drink.  Then he ordered more, but he knew I wouldn't have anymore, so she came up out with three for them, and a No-Alcoholic shot for me: I didn't even know those existed.  It was green apple, and so tasty.  I think I basically just chugged straight sugar; I'm okay with that.  I also ran into Andrea while we were there--guess it really is a small world!  But we just had a great time, learning more about him, and just laughing and being silly.  We learned that he lives with Benni (who is always
tweeting or on Facebook) so we tried to keep messaging him to show him what he was missing out on.  We tried to convince him to come and visit us in Penn State as well, and I think he actually might.  He was cracking us up too because he said he wanted to watch a movie with us and suggested "Apple Pie," which he actually meant "American Pie."  No thanks, but it made us laugh pretty hard.  His English is good, but he still has those cute quirks.  Then we were just kept saying, "Let's go to the beach, beach"
because that is so popular here right now.  He

just kept repeating all his words, and was just making us laugh especially as he just seemed so surprised at the things I haven't done that are just such a normal part of his life.  Then we left and walked to the river to say hi to the others, but then I had to get home cause I was exhausted and still had some things I wanted to do.  Another great day!
