Day 31-Nuevas Experiencias

Today my class met at La Setas and had a tour of the ruins underneath.  There were so many more than expected and it was cool to see, but our guide was so hard to understand.  Luckily, I think mostly because of me, our teacher went through everything again and explained it.  Then we got with a partner and had to give a brief presentation on something that interested us.  Two presentations in one day--sure know how to stretch a girl.  So my friend Michelle and I worked together and it wasn't bad.  Then we took some notes and I presented.  Not too bad.
Then Elise and I went to Discover Sevilla
because of a HUGEEE blessing.  It still blows my mind.  So we had to get 20 people to go to Portugal with us if we wanted to go with our free trip with We Love Spain.  That did not look like it was going to happen.  We posted in our Facebook group, but not oo much response.  It started to stress me out a little just because I didn't want to throw away a free trip but didn't know what else to do.  Well I tried to give it to the Lord and seriously just a few hours later we got messages from Discover Sevilla, the same travel group we went to Morocco with, and they said they really wanted us to go with them, so they offered us both a free trip with them and we didn't have to do anything!!!  (It was probably just so none of our friends would go with We Love Spain, but who cares!)  It was crazy and such a blessing.  Plus, we know them and had a great time last time, so Elise and I went and booked our trip then went home for lunch: a crazy good mound of pasta and meat in meat juice, olive oil, and white wine.  Then I did some work to try to study and then took a much needed siesta.  Then Fran and I finally did get to meet up and walked and got delicious orange soda, while having a great time talking as he helped me learn some more!  Then I went home for dinner, another delicious cheeseburger and then went to meet my intercambio.  She invited me to go to her school with her because they were basically having an open house party to raise money for Africa.  There was music, a bounce thing, food, tae kwan do, stands, and decorations.  There were so many people and they were just having a great time.  I just loved being there, seeing how they interact, seeing her school and talking with her and  her friends.  We worked the book stand, so I
attempted to read Alice in Wonderland in Spanish.  The only bad part about the night was that I felt absolutely miserable--a case of the brick :(  After meeting Jesús, talking some more, and some mancito/hombre jokes, Rocio and I took a taxi to the bride and I met my friends.  We just hung by the river all night.  It was nice because I do not think I would have been capable of doing much more.  I got to have some good conversations and then just some time praying and spending with the Lord because sometimes I just cannot handle these other conversations, but that's again where I can see the Lord changing my heart and making me rely on Him and giving me the assurance that I am here for Him and nothing else matters, especially fitting in.  I love to know that slowly but surely He is working on me!  We headed home then around 3ish and leave for Granada in the morning!!!
